The China International Import Expo Bureau, National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) and Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) will organize the 8th China International Import Expo (Malaysia) Promotion Event on 24th February 2025 (Monday), from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at EQ Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. The event is supported by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Malaysia and Bank of China, with The Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM) as the organizing partner.

Datuk Ng Yih Pyng, President of ACCCIM, H.E. Ouyang Yujing, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Malaysia, representative from Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), Mr.
Wu Zhengping, Deputy Director General of the China International Import Expo Bureau, and Mr. Zhang Min, President of Bank of China Malaysia, will attend and deliver speeches at the event.

This is the second time the China International Import Expo Bureau is organizing a promotion event in Malaysia. The event will provide key insights into the latest developments and strategic direction of the 8th China International Import Expo, which
will take place in Shanghai, China, from 5 to 10 November 2025. Malaysian enterprises have actively participated in the China International Import Expo over the years, successfully establishing connections with Chinese buyers, industry leaders, and
government agencies, leading to meaningful business collaborations. Businesses seeking to expand their presence in the Chinese and international markets are encouraged to participate in the promotion event and explore trade and investment opportunities.

The China International Import Expo (CIIE) is a significant initiative by China to facilitate market access and promote global trade. Since its inception in 2018, it has served as a key platform for international businesses to engage with Chinese and global markets. President Xi Jinping has attended and delivered keynote addresses at every edition of the event.

The 7th CIIE in 2024 was officiated by Chinese Premier Li Qiang and welcomed participants from 129 countries, regions, and international organizations. The event attracted nearly 3,400 exhibitors and registered over 430,000 professional visitors, making
