Key Features of the JAECOO J7 PHEV Super Hybrid System
The JAECOO J7 PHEV is powered by a cutting-edge 5th Generation 1.5L Turbocharged Gasoline Direct Injection engine, delivering 141hp and 215Nm of torque. The vehicle’s dedicated hybrid engine incorporates advanced technologies for maximum fuel efficiency and performance.
The vehicle’s single-speed dedicated hybrid transmission allows it to operate like an electric vehicle at low speeds, offering a seamless driving experience with zero petrol consumption when idle. With a fast-acting electromagnetic clutch, the system re-engages the engine to provide maximum torque, enabling the J7 PHEV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.5 seconds.
Additionally, the 18.3 kWh high-voltage battery, designed with 106-cell Lithium Iron Phosphate Blade technology, offers a robust and long-lasting power source. With a lifespan of up to 1 million km, the battery is engineered for safety, being puncture-proof and resistant to damage, ensuring reliable performance even in extreme conditions.
Superior Safety and Convenience
The J7 PHEV features an IP68-rated battery that is dustproof, waterproof, and resilient to Malaysia’s hot and humid climate. It supports fast DC charging, enabling the battery to charge from 30% to 80% in just 20 minutes, while at home, a 6.6 kW AC wall box can fully charge the vehicle in less than four hours.
With a class-leading electric-only range of 106 km (NEDC), the J7 PHEV boasts an impressive total range of up to 1,300 km on a full tank and a single charge, making it an ideal choice for long-distance travel. The vehicle also delivers exceptional fuel efficiency, consuming just 4.77 litres per 100 km (NEDC) in a power-depleted state.
Distinctive Design and Advanced Features
The J7 PHEV showcases distinctive design features, including the striking 2-tone Olive Grey exterior, 19” Aero Rims, and a sleek aero side mirror. A standout feature is the Cinema Tonneau Cover, which can be flipped to transform into a screen, allowing users to project movies or livestream events outdoors, powered by the vehicle’s 3.3 kW Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability.
Inside, the cabin is streamlined for simplicity, featuring a column-mounted gear shifter and ample space. The J7 PHEV also offers versatile driving modes, including fully electric EV mode, hybrid mode, and various power-saving settings, giving drivers the flexibility to optimize fuel efficiency or enjoy full power performance.
Advanced Safety and Warranty
The J7 PHEV comes equipped with a comprehensive Level 2.5 ADAS system, featuring eight airbags, Driver Monitoring, Lane Departure Prevention, and Adaptive Cruise Control for enhanced safety.
The J7 PHEV is priced at RM158,800, with a seven-year vehicle warranty and an eight-year warranty on the battery, motor, and powertrain components. JAECOO Malaysia is offering an exclusive early bird promotion for bookings made by 2nd March 2025, which includes an extended 10-year engine and high-voltage battery warranty, and a complimentary V2L charger.
