SEOUL, Korea – 19 March 2025 – Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. has officially announced that the rollout of One UI 7 in Malaysia will begin on 14 April 2025. This major update introduces a bold new design for a more personalized and intuitive user experience, powered by advanced AI integration. One UI 7 will initially be available for the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold6, and Z Flip6, with further updates rolling out to additional Galaxy smartphones and tablets.
A Bold New Design for Enhanced Personalization
One UI 7 brings a simplified and cohesive design that focuses on greater personalization and control. Key features include:
- Redesigned Home Screen & Widgets: A cleaner layout with easier customization, making it more intuitive to personalize your device.
- Lock Screen Updates: The new design allows users to check important information at a glance, like fitness progress and music playing on their Galaxy Buds, all without unlocking the phone.
- Now Bar: Offers real-time updates directly on the lock screen, ensuring that essential information is just a swipe away.
Smarter AI Features for a More Seamless Experience
One UI 7 integrates AI-driven tools to make daily tasks easier and more efficient:
- Galaxy AI: Automates tasks and provides intuitive recommendations based on context. For instance, users can save a video as a GIF with a simple swipe and tap on the Edge Panel.
- Writing Assist: Simplifies content creation with automatic text formatting and summarization.
- Drawing Assist: Brings ideas to life by combining text prompts, images, and sketches for more creative freedom.
- Audio Eraser: Removes unwanted noise from videos, allowing users to isolate and enhance specific sounds.
Enhanced Google Gemini Integration & Natural Language Control
With deeper Google Gemini integration, controlling your device is easier than ever. Just press the side button and speak naturally, like saying, “Find Italian, pet-friendly restaurants with outdoor seating nearby,” and Gemini will instantly pull up recommendations.
The new Natural Language Search also extends to Settings, allowing users to make changes with simple voice commands, such as adjusting brightness or enabling the Eye Comfort Shield by saying, “My eyes are feeling tired.”
