The Awards Recognise Excellence and Innovation by Honouring Malaysia’s Leading SMEs for 2024.
Kuala Lumpur, 26 October 2024 – SME Corp. Malaysia hosted the highly anticipated Enterprise 50 (E50) Press Conference today at the Diamond Ballroom, Mandarin Oriental, bringing together business leaders, media representatives, and industry stakeholders to honour the achievements of Malaysia’s top-performing small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
The press conference officially introduced this year’s E50 Awards, a prestigious programme recognising 50 outstanding SMEs from various industries. These enterprises are evaluated on their financial performance, operational capabilities, and management competencies, underscoring their ability to contribute to Malaysia’s economic growth and resilience.
The conference began with a welcome address from YBhg. Tan Sri Datuk Seri Panglima Bernard Giluk Dompok, Chairman of SME Corp. Malaysia. YBrs. Encik Rizal bin Dato’ Nainy, Chief Executive Officer of SME Corp. Malaysia, also presented an overview of the Enterprise 50 (E50) Programme for 2024, with an outline comprising objectives that promote business excellence.
This was followed by a presentation by YBrs. Encik Yee Wing Peng, Chief Executive Officer of Deloitte Malaysia, who detailed the criteria and evaluation process for the awards. Highlights included an announcement of the Top 10 Enterprise 50 Companies of 2024. Each of these companies are recognised for their remarkable contributions to the economy and their commitment to sustainable growth. The conference also held a Q&A session to provide the media with an opportunity to engage with the speakers and discuss the evolving landscape of SMEs in Malaysia.
The Enterprise 50 (E50) Award, organised by SME Corp. Malaysia, is a premier recognition programme celebrating the success and potential of the nation’s SMEs. Each year, 50 companies are selected based on their financial achievements, innovation, and operational excellence. The programme aims to encourage the pursuit of business excellence among local enterprises, acknowledge the contributions of SMEs to national economic growth and foster a culture of entrepreneurship while providing a platform for emerging companies to gain visibility.
