Kuala Lumpur, Monday 17 February 2025 – HELP University proudly hosted the inaugural launch of its Centre for Humane Entrepreneurship, marking a significant milestone in the institution’s commitment to fostering innovation and social impact. The event, held at the ELM Business School, Damansara Heights, brought together esteemed guests, dignitaries, and industry leaders for an evening of insightful discussions and strategic collaborations.
The launch was graced by Professor Dr. Kim Ki-Chan, Chairman of the International Council of Small Business (ICSB), whose presence underscored the Centre’s global vision. Professor Kim shared valuable insights on Korea-Entrepreneurship, shedding light on how innovative business practices and sustainable entrepreneurship can drive meaningful societal change.
In line with HELP University’s ongoing efforts to enhance global accreditation and reputation, the Centre for Humane Entrepreneurship aims to be a catalyst for social innovation and business collaboration. It will serve as a global platform for technology entrepreneurship and new startups, fostering partnerships between universities, industries, and governments.
The event also saw the announcement of an exciting upcoming visit by the Mayor of Jinju City, South Korea, who will be joining the Centre in March 2025 to unveil collaborative business initiatives under the Universities-Industries-Government framework.

The Centre reflects our dedication to nurturing the next generation of entrepreneurs who are not only business-savvy but also deeply committed to addressing humanitarian challenges,” said Professor Datuk Dr Paul Chan, Chancellor and co-founder of HELP University. “Specific programmes for training and startups will be launched in the coming months. This is a global initiative that focuses on Humane Entrepreneurship as the driving force for societal development.”
