Kuala Lumpur, 20 March 2025 – International Workplace Group (IWG) has announced the signing of a new Signature centre at Menara Merdeka 118, a landmark building in Kuala Lumpur. This new centre will offer two floors of flexible work solutions, with a total of 637 workstations, three meeting rooms, 31 coworking desks, a business lounge, and plenty of open space to accommodate businesses of all sizes. Customisable and branded client areas are also available to meet specific business needs.
Located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, Merdeka 118 offers excellent accessibility to highways, major roads, and public transport options, including the MRT, LRT, and expressway networks. These transport connections make it easy for users to access key locations across the Klang Valley, including Ampang, Sungai Buloh, Rawang, Shah Alam, Bangsar, Seremban, and Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
This new centre marks IWG’s fourth location within PNB-owned properties, following the launch of three centres in Johor and Kuala Lumpur. The expansion is part of IWG’s broader strategy to meet the growing demand for flexible workspaces in Malaysia. The new centre will add to IWG’s global network of over 4,000 locations across 120 countries, further supporting the company’s commitment to hybrid working solutions.
In Malaysia, IWG currently operates 45 centres across its four brands – Regus, HQ, Signature, and Spaces. The company has also announced four new centres earlier this year, with an additional four expected to open later in 2025. In Kuala Lumpur alone, IWG operates 16 centres throughout the city.
Dato’ Rick Ramli, Deputy President and Group Chief Executive of PNB, expressed his support for the new IWG centre at Merdeka 118. He said, “We are pleased to welcome IWG’s new centre as part of our ongoing efforts to provide high-quality workspaces in Malaysia. The addition of IWG’s latest centre at Merdeka 118 aligns with our commitment to offering diverse, premium work solutions that meet the evolving needs of businesses and professionals in Malaysia.”
Mark Dixon, Founder and CEO of IWG, also commented on the expansion, stating, “We are excited to establish a stronger presence in Malaysia with the opening of our Signature centre at Menara Merdeka 118. As demand for hybrid work solutions grows, this prime business hub provides the ideal location for our expansion. Our flexible workspaces not only enhance employee satisfaction and productivity but also contribute to a more sustainable way of working.”
The Signature brand, renowned for its world-class workspaces in iconic buildings around the world, will reflect the quality and prestige of Merdeka 118. Standing at 678.9 metres, Merdeka 118 is the tallest building in Malaysia and Southeast Asia, and the second tallest building in the world. It is also the first building in Malaysia to target triple platinum green building accreditations – Green Building Index (GBI), Green Real Estate (GreenRE), and LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design).
