KUALA LUMPUR 13 JANUARY 2025-Another record-breaking year unfolded for Malaysia’s automotive industry with new market entrants and multiple vehicle launches, leading The Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA) to raise its 2024 total industry volume (TIV) forecast to 800,000 new vehicle sales. It was also a breakout year for premium SUV market challenger, JAECOO, whose investments in an extensive dealer network, warehouse, and production assets collectively contributed to the achievement of 7,041 JAECOO J7 SUV registrations in the first five months of retailing in Malaysia.
In appreciation of the network’s accomplishment, JAECOO recognised 12 top performing dealerships at its first-ever dealership awards. JAECOO Malaysia Vice President, Emily Lek, said, “We appreciate our customers for their faith in the JAECOO brand and we will remain dedicated to deliver on our brand promise with best-in-class vehicles and a premium ownership experience. The awards recognise our dealer network which play a vital role in the brand’s overall achievement. The awardees recognised comprised of dealerships from the Klang Valley, northern and southern region, with the latter topping the table with the best sales in the country. Identifying opportunities for growth, JAECOO will be expanding its evaluation to include Best Customer Service Index (CSI) and Sales Satisfaction Index (SSI) scores among others in the coming year
Johor-based JAECOO dealership, Auto Galaksi Sdn Bhd, took home the trophy for contributing the highest sales in the network. “We are deeply honoured to be the inaugural recipient of JAECOO’s ‘Dealer of the Year’ award. Following the success of the J7 and C9 in 2024, JAECOO Malaysia is looking to raise the bar in 2025 with plans to introduce more models in line with its mission to provide attainable luxury options in the automotive market, beginning with the J7 PHEV in February 2025.
