KUALA LUMPUR 10 January 2025 –The annual propFEST 2025 Charity Bazaar, Malaysia’s first 16-hour charity event supporting 390 orphans, successfully surpassed its fundraising goal of RM300,000, benefiting over 30 organizations in need.
Organized by Persatuan Amal Semangat Semut (PASS) and propBUDDIES Sdn Bhd, with support from the Royal Malaysia Police Commercial Crime Investigation Department (CCID) Bukit Aman, Malaysia Chinese Civil Servants Association, Pertubuhan Amal THZ, Lions Club of KL Re-Mind, JCI Kuala Lumpur West, and JCI Entrepreneur, the event took place on January 4th and 5th at Aurora Place, Bukit Jalil, attracting over 2,000 attendees with 50 booths offering a variety of goods and activities.
YM Tengku Dato Dr. Hishammuddin Zaizi, a Selangor royal family member and founder of Pertubuhan Amal THZ, officiated the opening ceremony and expressed, “This is my second year as an advisor for propFEST. I am deeply moved by how this team nurtures orphans through education, guiding them to transform from societal challenges into pillars of strength.”
Stable Lai, the Founder of propFEST and Founding President of PASS, shared her gratitude, saying, “In our third year, we not only achieved our fundraising goal but also welcomed supporters from overseas, including China, Taiwan, Japan, and Indonesia, who traveled at their own expense to volunteer. She further highlighted the “Incubation Program”, launched in 2024, which includes weekly professional counseling and educational sessions provided by organizations like Adventist Community Services and Project Umbrella. This initiative ensures that orphans receive holistic support, including full scholarships and skill-based training, empowering them for a brighter future. Lai warmly invited more businesses to join the program, contributing to long-term sustainable impact

2024 Malaysia Book of Records : Most Orphans Sponsored for Movie Screening
In 2024, PASS partnered with the Royal Malaysia Police for the antNERGY Anti-Scam Awareness Marathon, inviting and sponsored 1,010 orphans to watch Malaysia’s first anti-scam movie, *”OPPA”, setting a Malaysia Book of Records milestone. The official Malaysia Book of Records certificate was presented to Stable Lai by Mohamad Nazrul Hafizi Bin Ahmad Fauzi.
In 2025, PASS aims to extend this initiative by inviting 2,000 orphans to watch the sequel, “Polis Action: Silent Code”, directed by Captain DeniL . during the event.
Several corporations signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) during the opening ceremony, pledging long-term support for businesses committed to charity goals and social causes. Participating companies include Eco Community Sdn Bhd, Sinland Real Estate, and Beijing Xiang Zhi Yuan Technology and Trade Co., Ltd. These partnerships signify a strong commitment to driving social responsibility and sustainable change.

Over the course of two vibrant days, propFEST 2025 Charity Bazaar delivered an array of captivating performances that kept the attending orphans thoroughly engaged and mesmerized. The stage came alive with the enchanting violin melodies performed by international violinist Jessica Loo and her talented students. The energy surged as 4 in 1 Dance Crew and Velcro Dance Crew showcased dynamic K-Pop dance routines, while Mini Mic King and Kanyo Bucks Art delivered heartwarming children’s talent performances. The soothing strums of ukuleles by the Kepong Ukulele Club added a melodic charm to the atmosphere, and the powerful martial arts displays by Hana Training Academy and Malaysia Northeast Tai Chi Martial Arts Academy left the audience in awe. Traditional culture was celebrated with the thunderous beats of Chinese drums by BSY Cultural Arts and the majestic lion dance performed by the Selangor Teck Ngai and Lion Dance Association. Adding a reflective and emotional touch, wellness X dignity presented a mindful movement performance, while Diana Wong and Jennifer Chong delivered soulful renditions of timeless classic songs.
A highlight of the event was the performance by children from the Jing Shan Welfare Society, who showcased their extraordinary talents through lion dance, 24 Festive Drums, and face-changing performances, leaving the audience amazed and inspired. The grand stage also witnessed the debut live performance of the newly composed Lunar New Year song “You She You De” by Miu Siaw, Daniel Lee, Michael Kek, Julianne Tan, and Dr. Jest Wong, elevating the festive atmosphere to its peak
The event concluded on a high note with Miu Siaw’s heartfelt rendition of the event’s theme song, “antNERGY”, during the closing ceremony. As the final notes faded, the volunteers came together with a shared vision for the future, setting an ambitious goal to raise RM400,000 by 2026, ensuring continued support for even more beneficiary groups. The propFEST 2025 Charity Bazaar was not merely an event—it was a heartfelt celebration of talent, culture, and the enduring spirit of love and generosity.
