KUALA LUMPUR, 10 April 2025 – Volvo Car Malaysia today proudly introduced the Volvo EX90, the brand’s first fully electric, seven-seater SUV that is built to be the safest Volvo ever made. Debuting in the Malaysian market as the top-of-the-line EX90 Ultra Twin, the flagship model represents a major leap in safety, sustainability, and cutting-edge technology.
The EX90 is the first Volvo to be fully software-driven, equipped with lidar technology, and hardware-ready for autonomous driving, marking a new era for the Scandinavian carmaker. The vehicle’s sleek design — featuring flush glazing, integrated door handles, and a low drag coefficient of 0.29 — balances aerodynamic efficiency with Volvo’s iconic road presence.
Powering the EX90 is a high-capacity 111 kWh NMC battery with 107 kWh of usable energy, delivering up to 623 km of range (WLTP). Paired with dual electric motors and performance AWD software, the EX90 produces 517 hp and 910 Nm of torque, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds. Fast-charging capability enables a 10% to 80% charge in as little as 30 minutes.

The Malaysian-spec EX90 Ultra Twin is equipped with a suite of premium features including:

The EX90’s advanced chassis monitors conditions 500 times per second for optimal comfort and performance. One-pedal drive with an “Auto” mode ensures smooth acceleration and regenerative braking based on real-time traffic and speed conditions.
