The launch aligns with Malaysia’s ascent in the global logistics ecosystem, as reflected in its 26th ranking in the World Bank’s Logistics Performance Index (LPI) 2023, a significant improvement from 41st in 2022.

Volvo’s newly updated heavy-duty trucks, including the Volvo FH, FM, and FMX models, are tailored to meet the rigorous demands of Malaysia’s logistics and haulage sectors. The range incorporates:
- Aerodynamic Design Enhancements: The Globetrotter cab optimises airflow, improving fuel efficiency by up to 9% and lowering carbon emissions.
- Advanced Safety Features: Standard systems such as Forward Collision Warning with automatic emergency braking enhance safety, alongside adaptive innovations like trailer parking brake activation and Adaptive Cruise Control.
- Optimised Cruise Control: The I-See system integrates topographical data to adjust speed and gear shifts, improving fuel savings and reducing driver fatigue.
- Volvo Dynamic Steering (VDS): This technology stabilises vehicles under diverse conditions, ensuring safer journeys for both drivers and other road users.
Further advancing road safety, the range introduces the Camera Monitoring System (CMS), which features night vision and panning capabilities to reduce blind spots. Set for release in the second quarter of 2025, this system complements the brand’s efforts to enhance operational efficiency and safety.
